During the month of March Foods 20/30 has been learning
how to create a business. Janet Paul of the Regional Business accelerator
presented to our class, followed by local business owners who provided the
class with real world examples and inspiration. Rhonda Headon of The Cheesiry,
Amanda Amundrud of the Root: Community Emporium and Trisha Le of The East
Market Noodle House left us feeling inspired and driven to try our hand at a
Food Business venture. Students of Mrs Harty-Blank's were divided into 6 groups and created a
small food business.
On March 26 and 27 they sold a sampling of their products at lunch and on april 2 they will be presenting their small business ideas in " The Den" to a panel of d"Dragons". We are pleased to have Mr. Sherbinin, Mr. Venance, Janet Paul and Lloydminster's deputy-mayor Chris Mcquid come in to offer feedback on the business proposals. " Chose a job that you like, and you'll never have to work again!"
