Late last week, the grade 12 students in our Biology 30 class were learning about DNA replication and Okazaki fragments. They built DNA models first so as to have a better understanding of the structure and shape of the molecule.
These DNA models were built with jujubes, fuzzy peaches, cherry nibs and toothpicks - now doesn't that make Okazaki fragments much more palatable? Yummy, hands-on science!
